August Wind-Up

The year began with August for me. That's because I had been so busy with exams since January that I had no time for reading! This month I finally started on my challenges completing the Victorian Literature Challenge hosted by Subtle Melodrama, and starting with the Historical Fiction Challenge hosted by Historical Tapestry. I've also started on my plans for a literature blog for the students of Masters in English Literature here in Pakistan. I intend to include the courses of Punjab University because I find it surprisingly hard to find suitable material for some of our books. Libraries are scarce and the internet, although it has a lot of great material, is not a reliable source for exams unless it's verified.

Books I've read and reviewed this month:

Venetia by Georgette Heyer
The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray
Castle Dor by Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch and Daphne du Maurier

I am going to have an Agatha Christie page up soon with reviews as soon as I re-read her books! I've read all her books and enjoyed them all. It's time I started expanding my blog! Thanks for reading. Hope you enjoy all I have planned....
